We have seen that tablets have gained more popularity than smartphones and millions sold out during 2013. This is the reason why we are now seeing more manufacturers, products and alternatives reach the market and it is sure that 2014 will bring with it a large selection of top-notch, high-end slates but if you can’t wait that long and want some high end tablet action now then here is the list of best android tablets.

NVidia Tegra Note

If you’re looking for a bit more bang for your buck then NVidia’s Tegra Note might suit you. Coming in at fewer prices the Tegra Note has a nicer display and is powered by NVidia’s incredibly rapid Tegra 4 quad-core chip, which makes it ideal for high-end gaming and intensive multi-tasking. Most of us know that this chip benchmarks as high as Qualcomm’s latest processors, so you can be sure this tablet is nice and competitive with most Android devices costing four times as much.

The device also comes with built-in stylus support. The stylus included works with an ordinary pencil too, which is actually better for handwriting than the brush-like rubber stylus and also better for drawing. The stereo speakers are front-facing and it runs stock Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. So overall the device is a good one at low price.

Tesco Hudl

The Tesco Hudl unlike other tabs in the list isn’t packed with all the latest and greatest technology. But that’s kind of the point, because that means Tesco is able to sell this thing for £120, or even lesser if you spend Club card points or vouchers.

As priced surely this tab is not having the best hardware which means a compromise in the experience to an extent and yes, it will not keep up as more games and apps become tailored to the likes of quad-core Snapdragon 805s and 64-bit architecture. However, it runs even some of the more demanding Google Play content quite well enough thanks to its nicely optimized quad-core Rock chip CPU at 1.5GHz. Hudl uses a more-or-less stock Android configuration and is definitely zippy enough for most tablet use scenarios with some excellent Wi-Fi connectivity and for sure it’s reliable and fast on a good connection. If you want an affordable tablet then this is the best one for you.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8.0 remarkably compact and well-made bit of kit proves just the right size for the stylus-driven Note concept which is not too big, not too small and very portable as a result. The S-Pen functionality of the tab offers excellent pressure sensitivity for accurate handwriting recognition and makes doodling a breeze. It also has the Multiscreen for sharing the display between multiple apps.

It is powered with a quad-core Exynos 4412 chipset clocked at 1.6GHz with a Mali-400MP quad-core GPU, whereas the battery pack is rated at 4,600mAh. Wi-Fi only and 3G/4G variants are available and it takes a Micro SIM too. Both the 16GB and 32GB storage variants of the tab are available with micro SD support for cards up to 64GB. So there is a very good device on offer if you want to pay the amount.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z

Sony, the company certainly has a penchant for smooth design when it pushes the boat out and that’s exactly what it’s done with the Xperia Tablet Z. This tab holds onto the title of world’s thinnest tablet at a razor-like 6.9mm thickness. This device is water and dust resistant. The 10.1-inch display of the device is nice and punchy due to the Sony Mobile Bravia Engine 2. A quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.5GHz chip keeps things ticking over with an Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The tablet has 16GB of onboard storage and micro SD support for 64GB card and a 6,000mAh battery pack to power the entire device.

These are the devices which can fulfill your desire of having a good and value for money tablet.
